DC Competitors: 64 students across 6 chapters
Events Entered: 46 distinct competitive events
Advanced to Round 2 (Finals): 15 students in 9 events
On-site Top-10 Placements: None in 2026
DC HOSA earned 143 Top-3 placements at the Spring Leadership Conference, qualifying a strong delegation to represent the District at the 2026 international Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, June 17-21. Sixty-four students from six chapters competed across 46 distinct events spanning academic testing, health professions, emergency preparedness, teamwork, and leadership. DC HOSA’s competitive-events (CE) assignment was Sports Medicine - placing our Advisors and member volunteers at the center of one of DC HOSA’s most popular competitive events, gleaning valuable knowledge on running CE at the SLC.
Fifteen DC HOSA members advanced to the final round (Round 2) across nine events. While DC HOSA did not earn an on-site Top-10 placement this year, reaching the national finals in nine distinct events - with several competitors experiencing ILC for the first time - reflects a deepening understanding, and competitive bench, that positions the District for future podium finishes.
